Liverpool house prices just hit £182k. Is the city still “affordable” or are we kidding ourselves now?

Liverpool house prices have gone up again, with the average now around £182k

I know people still call Liverpool “cheap”, but cheap for who exactly?

For someone moving from London or down south, maybe it still looks like a bargain. But for local people trying to save a deposit, get a mortgage, and not rely on family money, £182k is still a massive ask.

Even a normal terraced house is now around £172k on average. That doesn’t feel cheap when wages haven’t exactly shot up.

Feels like Liverpool is slowly becoming one of those places where everyone says it’s affordable, but the actual people who live here are getting priced out bit by bit.

Am I being dramatic, or is buying in Liverpool getting harder than people admit?

Does anyone know what’s happening with the Littlewoods Project in L7?

I’ve been passing this site quite frequently and have been really excited about the project. However, it has been very quiet recently, especially since all the scaffolding was put in place.

Does anyone know what is happening with the project? Is it still going ahead? It looks like there are no works currently ongoing.
