I’ve tried Linux many times and liked SUSE the most, and now with Windows going down into the waste basket I’m on it again.
I’ve installed SUSE tumbleweed on an old laptop to accustom myself with everything.
Got VSCodium, Pycharm, OnlyOffice, Steam, Darktable and stuff on it now.
Cant ditch windows totally at this point but I’m working on it, I do need Fortnite and PowerBI.
Software support has really got better with flatpack!
It turns out I got an autonomous dysfunction like pots/me/cfs not anxiety so I’m tapering Effexor now.
I’m pushing the doctor for the right label and showing questioners on pots and me/cfs that show what it is.
Bisoprolol, a beta blocker, has changed my life to the better in a way SSRI/SNRI never has done in the slightest.
So on more psychiatric bullshit for me.
I’m on Tumbleweed and learned that the best way to avoid problems is to uninstall PackageKit and lock it so the system can’t install it again.
After this you will not get system or rpm updates in Discover, no accidental system updates through Discover.
The downside might be that you don’t see any rpm packages in Discover but you can install them with Zypper.
