My brain told me to check just that spot.

I found a lump on Thursday early hours because my brain said 'You should feel that.'

Found a lump instantly, I've had cysts before and they're usually in the first few layers of skin for me and about a pea size.

This is like the size of a grape, and can only feel it at a certain angle.

I went to the drs, she couldn't find it and looked optimistic, saying it's usually a swollen duct that I find, till she said show me how you were sat or lay when you found it. So I did and then she found it and her face dropped, she was feeling around and then said "I can't tell you what that is so I'll get you booked in with the breast clinic"

I got my appointment a couple of hours later and it's in 10 days, it's at a different hospital than the other times I've been for cyst and lump checks.

And I can see my appointment notes, she's ticked off -

Discrete, hard lump, fixation, skin tethering(any age)

With - swelling/lump palpable in the upper inner aspect of her left breast.

I did the thing that you're not meant to and copied and pasted it into Google.

That didn't help, obviously 🤦

So the new hospital and Dr that I'm seeing is like top of the range breast cancer clinic/hospital department

I googled him and he's a lead breast surgeon which makes me feel better knowing that he's good at his job.

But should I be expecting bad news after the tests?

I think I'd rather know to expect bad and then it's all good if it's all good obviously.

Also I've been feeling a bit off and absolutely filled with anxiety before I found the lump, like unnecessary anxiety, as in leaving the house, getting driven anywhere has become extremely uncomfortable with the amount of anxiety that I've been struggling with for about 2 weeks.

This message was a lot longer than I anticipated, sorry!

I've not got anyone to talk about it to so I've just been reading other people's posts and seeing if any match what my brain is searching for.

Hope everyone's fighting fit and living to the max in this scary world! ☺️
