Can i post myself lane splitting / filtering through traffic?

Hey everyone, a genuine question from people who post riding content online.

I ride in NYC and sometimes filter/split through traffic. I’ve been thinking about posting more motovlog-style clips, but I also show my face pretty often on my channel, and if someone really wanted to, they could probably identify my bike/license plate too.

For those of you who post riding content:

- Do you avoid posting lane filtering/splitting clips entirely?

- Do people blur plates/faces or just not care?

- Has anyone actually had law enforcement contact them over videos posted online?

- Do cops/departments actively look through motorcycle content, or is that mostly internet paranoia?

- Is it different in NYC specifically?

- Do you delay uploads or avoid posting locations/timestamps?

I know tons of riders post this stuff online, especially on YouTube/Instagram/TikTok, but I’m curious what the actual risk level is from people with real experience.

Not asking for legal advice - just trying to understand how careful people are in practice.
