I looked at the performing vex lists from RQ Sydney and almost all of them lean heavily into a defensive playstyle with Evelyn, Edge of Night and so on.

But most of them are playing 1-2 purple Kha’zix as well? I get that you can play him for free with Sona, but he doesn’t protect your units, he costs a power and you can’t do anything with the exp.

So why is it good?

I also struggle to see how you can use Evelyn efficiently since you don’t run big tank units. If anyone has experience with these types of lists, can you explain to me what makes this “hidden playstyle” so much better than say a more tempo oriented list with nami.
