I received a summons for 6 to 18 months of federal *grand* jury service.

I was seriously thinking of exploring other job opportunities in the next year. I could raise it with the clerk/judge, but I doubt they would entertain it since right now it’s only aspirational and I don’t have any applications out.

And suppose I really DID get a new job during the term. Would I get in trouble for doing so?
