Drawing Challenge Number 49: Draw the Window You Wish You Could Wake Up To Tomorrow (Read the rules!) - #W2DTogether

Hi everyone! 🙂

Welcome to the 49th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)

-------

Imagine waking up tomorrow morning.

You open your eyes, walk toward the window, pull back the curtains...

And instead of seeing the view you normally see, you can choose anything in the world to be on the other side.

Your challenge this week is simple:

Draw a window and the view you wish you could wake up to tomorrow.

Your view can be absolutely anything.

It could be somewhere famous you have always wanted to see:

  • The Eiffel Tower in Paris.
  • Taj mahal palace India.
  • The streets of Venice.
  • The mountains of Switzerland.
  • The pyramids in Egypt.
  • A beach somewhere far away.
  • A city skyline glowing at night.

Or maybe your dream view is much simpler:

  • A quiet forest.
  • Mountains covered in snow.
  • A field of flowers.
  • The ocean.
  • A little village.
  • A rainy street.
  • A garden full of birds.
  • Autumn trees covered in orange and red leaves.
  • A peaceful winter morning.

It does not even have to be a real place.

Maybe outside your window is a floating city in the clouds.

Maybe there are two moons in the sky.

Maybe you wake up overlooking an enchanted forest, another planet, a fantasy kingdom, an underwater city, or somewhere that could only exist in your imagination.

You can make the window itself part of the drawing too.

Maybe it is a huge palace window, a tiny cottage window, an old wooden frame covered in vines, a futuristic spaceship window, or simply the window beside your bed.

You can draw the scene from inside the room looking out, focus mostly on the view itself, or build an entire setting around it.

The interpretation is completely up to you.

At the end, if you'd like, tell us where your window looks out onto and why you would want to wake up to that view tomorrow.

Have fun. We can't wait to see what is waiting outside your windows. 🙂

Rules

  • Must be YOUR drawing.
  • Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital drawing tools).
  • No paintings.
  • No AI art.
  • All skill levels welcome: beginners, intermediates, experts.
  • You must share AT LEAST ONE drawing where we can clearly see the window.
  • To be part of the competition, your drawing MUST be posted in the comments of this thread. (If you'd like, you can also make a separate post in the subreddit using the #W2DTogether flair, but the official entry needs to be here in the comments if you want it reviewed.)

How We Pick the Winner

After one week, we'll hold a community vote to decide which drawing best captures the theme. The winner will be showcased in the sub with their artwork.

If the winner shares an art link (Instagram, portfolio, website, etc.), we'll also include it so they can get recognition and maybe even new followers.

Time Frame

This challenge is timeless. You can participate anytime, even years later.

Review Date:
For community feedback, we'll gather and review all submissions on Sunday, 23 August 2026, so make sure to post your entry before 4:00 PM UTC that day. Drawings posted before that date will be part of the review session.

Drawing Challenge Number 48: If You Were Born With a Symbol, What Would Yours Be? (Read the rules!) - #W2DTogether

Hi everyone! 🙂

Welcome to the 48th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)

-------

Imagine a world where every person is born with a symbol somewhere on their body.

Nobody has the exact same one.

Some are tiny.
Some cover an entire arm, shoulder, back, face, or hand.
Some are obvious.
Others are hidden somewhere almost nobody gets to see.

Your challenge this week is simple:

If you had been born with a symbol somewhere on your body, what would yours be?

Choose:

  • the symbol
  • where it appears
  • how large or small it is
  • what style it has
  • and, if you want, what it means

Your symbol could be almost anything.

  • A moon. An eye. A key. A flower. A flame. A constellation. An animal. A number. A letter. A strange geometric shape. A symbol from mythology. Something connected to your culture. Something completely invented.
  • It could represent your personality, something you have survived, something you want, something you fear, someone important to you, a memory, a belief, a contradiction, or simply something you have always felt strangely connected to.

And where you place it can matter just as much as the symbol itself.

  • Would everyone be able to see it?
  • Would you hide it?
  • Would it sit over your heart, on your hand, behind your ear, across your back, on your face, or somewhere unexpected?

You can draw the symbol by itself, draw the part of the body where it appears, draw yourself or a character with it, or create an entire scene around it.

The interpretation is completely up to you.

At the end, if you'd like, tell us what your symbol is, where it appears, and why you think you would have been born with that one.

Have fun. We can't wait to see what mark you would carry through life. 🙂

Rules

  • Must be YOUR drawing.
  • Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital drawing tools).
  • No paintings.
  • No AI art.
  • All skill levels welcome: beginners, intermediates, experts.
  • You must share AT LEAST ONE drawing.
  • To be part of the competition, your drawing MUST be posted in the comments of this thread. (If you'd like, you can also make a separate post in the subreddit using the #W2DTogether flair, but the official entry needs to be here in the comments if you want it reviewed.)

Drawing Challenge Number 47: Design the Mask You Would Wear Forever (Read the rules!) - #W2DTogether

Hi everyone! 🙂

Welcome to the 47th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)

-------

Imagine that, for some mysterious reason, you are forced to wear the same mask for the rest of your life.

What would your mask look like?

That is your challenge this week:

Design and draw the mask you would choose to wear forever.

You could draw a well-known type of mask, such as a Venetian mask, a theatrical mask, a plague doctor mask, a superhero mask, or a traditional mask inspired by a particular culture.

You could take inspiration from:

Japanese Noh or kitsune masks, Chinese opera masks, Korean masks, African masks, ancient masks, festival masks, mythology, animals, nature, fantasy, fictional or anything else that interests you.

You may recreate an existing mask, combine elements from several different masks, completely redesign one in your own style, or create something entirely from your imagination.

Think about what the mask might represent.

Would it show your real personality, or hide it?

Would it represent something you love, something you fear, your culture, your memories, your dreams, or the person you hope to become?

You can draw the mask by itself, draw yourself or a character wearing it, or create an entire scene around it. The interpretation is completely up to you.

If you take inspiration from a traditional or culturally significant mask, please mention its name or origin and approach the design respectfully.

At the end, if you'd like, tell us why you chose this mask and what its colors, patterns, shapes, or symbols mean. Have fun, and we can't wait to see the face you would choose to show the world! 🙂

This week's challenge is all about drawing something that brings you joy.

Your mission is simple:

Find a picture that instantly makes you smile... then draw it.

It could be a funny photo, a wholesome moment, a screenshot from a video, a cute animal, a favorite character, a beautiful landscape, a family photo, a meme, your favorite food, or absolutely anything else that makes you happy.

You can replicate the picture as closely as possible, or redraw it entirely in your own style. Feel free to simplify it, exaggerate it, change the colors, combine ideas, or add your own creative twist. The choice is yours.

The goal isn't to create the most technically impressive drawing.

The goal is to create something that makes you smile every time you look at it.

At the end, If you'd like, feel free to share the original reference picture alongside your drawing and tell us why you chose it. We'd love to hear the story behind it 😄

Have fun, and we can't wait to see what brings a smile to your face! 🙂

Drawing Challenge Number 45: Design Your Own Alphabet/Font (Read the rules!) - #W2DTogether

Hi everyone! 🙂

Welcome to the 45th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)

-------------

This week's challenge is all about letter design.

Your mission is to create your own artistic alphabet.

Instead of writing normal letters, redesign them into something unique. Turn each letter into an animal, a character, a monster, an object, a fantasy creature, a plant, a machine, or anything your imagination comes up with.

The goal is to create a font that has a consistent style and personality, where all the letters feel like they belong together.

Take inspiration from the reference images in this post, find your own references online, or create something completely original.

Your alphabet could be:

  • Animal inspired
  • Monster inspired
  • Nature inspired
  • Food inspired
  • Mechanical or robotic
  • Medieval or fantasy
  • Space themed
  • Cute and cartoonish
  • Horror themed
  • Abstract or minimalist
  • Or anything else you can imagine!

You don't have to design the entire alphabet if you don't want to.

To enter the challenge, create at least 2 or 3 letters so we can clearly see your style. Of course, if you'd like to design the entire alphabet, even better!

Another fun option is to use your custom letters to write your name, your Reddit username, or any word or short phrase you'd like. This lets everyone see how your alphabet looks when it's actually used.

Whether you create just a few letters, spell your name, or design all 26 letters, the goal is to make your alphabet feel unique and recognizable.

Have fun and let your imagination shape every letter! 🙂

Drawing Challenge Number 44: "Illustrate Your Mind" (Read the rules!) - #W2DTogether

Hi everyone! 🙂

Welcome to the 44th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)

------------

This week's challenge is all about illustrating your mind.

Imagine someone could look inside your head. What would they see?

Instead of drawing what's on the outside, draw what's happening on the inside. Your thoughts, emotions, memories, dreams, fears, hobbies, or imagination can all become part of the artwork.

You can literally open up the head, replace parts of it with objects, create surreal landscapes inside it, or use symbols that represent who you are.

Take inspiration from the reference images in this post, find your own references online, or create something completely original.

Your drawing could represent:

  • Your personality
  • Your dreams or goals
  • Your favorite hobby
  • Your fears or anxiety
  • Happy memories
  • Overthinking
  • Nature growing inside your mind
  • A universe, city, ocean, library... anything that represents you

There are no limits. The goal is to make people wonder:

"What's going on inside their mind?"

Have fun and make it as personal, symbolic, or imaginative as you'd like. 🙂

------

Rules

  • Must be YOUR drawing
  • Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital drawing tools)
  • No paintings
  • No AI art
  • All skill levels welcome: beginners, intermediates, experts
  • You must share AT LEAST ONE drawing
  • To be part of the competition, your drawing MUST be posted in the comments of this thread. (If you’d like, you can also make a separate post in the subreddit using the #W2DTogether flair, but the official entry needs to be here in the comments if you want it reviewed.)

---

How We Pick the Winner

After one week, we’ll hold a community vote to decide which drawing best captures the theme. The winner will be showcased in the sub with their artwork.

If the winner shares an art link (Instagram, portfolio, site, etc.), we’ll also include it so they can get recognition and maybe even new followers.
