Is it the right time yet?

Hello everyone!

I am turning 20 soon and I was thinking about getting the SmartSight surgery done.
I’ve got rather strong myopia (-6.0 right, -6.5 left with mild astigmatism). My ophthalmologist said I was a great candidate based on all the tests they’d done, but also mentioned “possible regression” which is generally unlikely but still possible as my eyes could still not be fully developed. I had my vision checked and it stayed pretty stable (20/20 - 20-22 or 0.9-1) for a year.
My question is: Would you wait for a few more years just to make sure the vision is stable enough, or would you go for the surgery?

I would really appreciate if someone’s got similar stories/experiences to tell!

Thanks in advance!🫶🏼
