Hi I am an HR DEPT of 1 and looking for advice regarding a partially complete i9 document.

We had an employee complete part 1 of their i9 on day 1 of employment but he forgot his documents and was supposed to bring it in the following day.

Unfortunately he never showed back up and NCNS for the rest of the week. He is obviously terminated, but that leaves me wondering what to do with the rest of his i9. Am I supposed to just leave it blank or leave a note about the problem? We use Everify so it’s not just a piece of paper to add to files.
