Thinking of Moving to Bethel

Hey guys, lower 48'er here. I work in international development and have worked in many other parts of the world, but am eyeing a potential move to Bethel to work in development.

From what I've seen on this sub and other blogs and YouTube videos there seems to be a mixed opinion of life there. I'm used to living in pretty remote areas with minimal development (concrete houses, no internet, no AC, no running water, etc.) so from what I've seen Bethel looks like a perfectly fine rural settlement with all your basic needs being met (a few restaurants, the Alaska Commercial Company, good housing, good internet). I love the outdoors and I love the idea of living and working in rural Alaska.

I was wondering if y'all could clue me into things I may not be considering or things I should really think about before potentially making the move. Any and all advice is very welcome, thanks in advance.
