Weird Ticking noise when shifting from N or P to D or R

I have been hearing this ticking noise for sometime now and I wanted to ask if you guys know if this has anything to do with the torque converter or something else?

Would changing the transmission oil kill it?

My 525i has done 250,000 KM, as far as I know the transmission oil has never been changed and people around here in Egypt say that if you change transmission oil it will definitely destroy the transmission for some reason.

Should I get a new filter and change the oil for it?

The reason I’m thinking about it is that it started to slip at around 110Km/h
