Sacrifing everything to build momentun, then this....

Everyone here, know the importance of sacrifices in order to start and grow its business.

some have taken loans, some had to quit their jobs and some postponned starting a familly until they build themselves.

now imagine sacrificing everything to build the momentum, then a law will halt it for a year. potentially losing everything.

This is what happened to me:

i finally learned the skills i need and put time and effort into starting a new business. all the vision i had was now being realised. the business is doing great btw, at intial stages, audience love the product and find real value in it. im the main guy behind, from technical implementation to sales. i do most of the things.

then I get a mendatory order to join the national military service(mendatory for every young adult).

so you need to either abondon your business for a whole year or you become an insubordinate in the eye of the law. and let me tell you its not a pleasent experience: restriction access, can't travel abroad, can't leave your hometown, a potential police check can get you caught and forces you to go and spend the year.

It could sound like a bitter rent or a low agency. but i only have you my internet strangers to share this with you

have you faced anything like this before?

After my 6th "mark all as read", I built a reader that doesn't count

My problem wasn't finding blogs, it was keeping them. My bookmark bar became a graveyard of 200+ sites. I'd never check because who wants to manually visit 30 sites a day?

So I moved to RSS like everyone here. Then I got the second problem: 1000+ unread badge anxiety. Every reader looked like Gmail. I'd fall behind, feel guilty, hit "mark all as read", swear I'd start fresh. Did that like 6 times. That's what I mean by bankruptcy.

A year ago I started a personal project to fix it for myself. I've been using it daily since, and figured I'd finally share it: suprafeed.cmozaiq.com

The core decision: there is no unread count. No inbox.

You make shelves (like "slow blogs" vs "news"). You paste any blog / Substack URL and it finds the feed + favicon + articles. Then:

  • Focused shelf = one article at a time for deep reading, prev/next + bookmark dock
  • Digest shelf = scannable list for high-volume sources, auto-purges old news after 24h

Live here if you want to try it: suprafeed.cmozaiq.com

Can opencode devs provide Qwen 3.8 27B?

With DSV4 Flash price rising. It will be great to provide Qwen 3.8 27B as a cheap alternative too.
Artifical analysis results are on par with: DSV4 Pro

Kimi K2.6 unavailable On Opencode GO

https://preview.redd.it/prhmyqqmixjh1.png?width=1319&format=png&auto=webp&s=a938564e9343aa7910f44926753e1480f8903e6d

After the deepseek v4 flash price increase, I'm looking for a cheap coder/implementer alternative.
kimi k2.6 unvailable

Mimo v2.5 pro is at 15$ only

Mimo v2.5 feel meh for implementation (although have better tool calling then DS4)

What are you using as an alternative for DS4 after the price increase? Mostly for implementing a spec

Any one using Compound Engineering from Every ?

I’ve been using it for quite some time and I like the results so far. I discovered the plugin on X, but I rarely see anyone talking about it.

The main appeal is that it compounds knowledge after you finish a feature or spec. The next time you plan something, it checks the documented learnings — from common bugs to architecture patterns to coding conventions.

One thing that feels off is that it burns through a lot of tokens and hits my limits within 4–5 loops (plan → work → review → compound) in OpenCode.

I’m not sure if it’s worth it long-term or if I could get similar results with something more lightweight like OpenSpec or Superpowers.

Has anyone used OpenSpec, CE, or Superpowers on web dev projects (especially Rails or similar MVC frameworks)? Would love to hear real experiences.

Using Phone Number instead of email as main fields for auth

I will be using rails 8 authentication generators and i wanna switch the email adress with a phone number, as i will add telegram as the main oauth.
Telegram is dont return an email and so it will leave the email adress null.
also the audience i will be building the app for, rarely use email.

How to prevent everything from going south ? am i using the right approach behind it ?
