Folks around here always seem to wonder about rent increases. I live in a Brookfield building. This is my second lease renewal. First increase was around 4% and that was negotiated down from 7%. This time they tried to raise it about 6.5% but got it down to 2%. I doubt they would’ve gone so low if there weren’t a myriad of problems this year.
