What can I say I just love that man. I am looking for another western historical romance with a very similar MMC as Cord Bennett from {Eyes of Silver Eyes of Gold by Ellen O’Connell}. I am even open to non-western. I just want an MMC with similar characteristics like loner, high morals, emotionally mature, protective and calm. I liked that he was never mean to Anne but would be stern with her for her own protection when needed. I also liked that he wasn’t an immature baby and didn’t throw a fit or ignore her when he was upset.

A lot of people recommend Lorraine Heath because it’s western but I don’t find the MMCs to be similar in the way I am looking for. The closest I have come is {In want of a Wife by Jo Goodman}.
