I am new to the Newlands neighbourhood. At around 10:15pm this evening I came across a long eared rabbit in the road, outside my house. Several cars nearly hit it but, miraculously, it is uninjured. It’s freezing outside so, in absence of any obvious owners I have brought it into the house and put it in a spare animal crate.

It’s too late to ring animal rescues and I’ve tried door knocking on a couple of houses who still had lights on but, unsurprisingly, no one answered (I understand few people will open their door to a stranger this late in the evening), so I thought Reddit might be my next best thing. I’m conscious that rabbits can die of fright and shock so, I’m trying Reddit. Tomorrow morning I’ll ring SPCA.
