Help with carts/leaking

Hi all. I’m prescribed medical cannabis mainly for chronic pain, but it also really helps my overall mental health.

I regularly use carts, mostly distillate, purely because they’re cheaper. I’ve used rosin carts before and definitely prefer them, but they’re basically double the price and I also had leaking issues towards the end. At home I much prefer to vape flower, but carts are really useful when I’m out and about because of the discretion and convenience and they are very quick to use. A cart usually lasts me around 3–4 weeks. Sometimes even longer.

In the past I had issues with carts leaking from the mouthpiece, and I thought maybe I was pulling too hard. Last week I got a new (4clabs tigerblood) one and it’s now almost empty already because it’s leaking from the bottom/inside the cart. It’s super frustrating because they’re not cheap, and cleaning leaked oil out of my Yocan Uni Pro is a nightmare. Before this one I had 4clabs limecherry which did not leak.

I’m wondering if I should contact Medicann about it? I switched from Releaf a few months ago and honestly couldn’t be happier overall, but I’m not sure if they’d take responsibility for a faulty cart.

For context, I usually vape at 2.6v, take 2–3 puffs at a time, then leave it for a couple of hours or more. When I put in a new cart I always make sure the adapter is tightened properly. If it’s in my pocket it might sit at different angles, but I try to keep it upright with the mouthpiece facing up. At home is usually horizontal in a table

Does this sound like I’m doing something wrong, is the cart design just poor,or could the Yocan Uni Pro itself be causing the leaks? Why some carts leak and some not?Any advice appreciated.
