Cookbook for completely inexperienced cook
I have read some stories where a young lady is put in the position of having to cook for a household (the Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella is a good example, though set in uk) but has never cooked, or even used kitchen appliances, usually a poor little rich girl type. What cookbook(s) would you recommend for such a case? I would think that not only cooking but meal planning and grocery shopping for various occasions would need to be learned. I have read about wealthy people who have never shopped for groceries IRL. In the US maybe Betty Crocker cookbook? I dont know that it addresses meals planning and grocery shopping. The protagonist needs to learn in a hurry too.
