With a swarm of large earthquakes globally, and fault lines around Los Angeles being at a 1000 year high pressure, I’m scared. What can I do when it happens?
I’m worried of apartment building collapse. I live in north hollywood/burbank, a liquidation zone. I’m on the 2nd story. First story is mostly parking garage, with a sub level parking garage too. There are 3 stories above me. Building built in mid 80s, outside of retrofit requirements.
Aside from “stop worrying” or moving, what can I do when one hits? Do I quickly get outside, or just hope it doesn’t collapse and pancake me? All readings say don’t go outside because of falling debris hazards, but a street with mostly houses and only a few short apartment buildings seems safer that the risk of being pancakes to me.

History has an eerie habit of recycling itself.
Across centuries, societies have repeatedly witnessed the same sequence:

Global anchovy production has reportedly fallen by as much as 40% over the past year, while fishmeal prices have surged roughly 80%. Many of anchovies caught off the Peruvian coast do not go to plates. Instead, they are processed into fishmeal used to make feed for salmon, shrimp, trout, and numerous other types of farmed fish. Thus, reduced catch due to warming seas and fishing regulations affects even more parts of the world than you might initially imagine.
