LG C6 42 vs 48 for PS5 Pro + movies at desk distance?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently stuck between the LG C6 42” ($1099) and the LG C6 48” ($1499), mainly for PS5 Pro and movies.
From what I understand, at least for now in the US, the 48 inch model gets the Tandem OLED panel and also has Brightness Booster, while the 42 inch version does not. That’s the main reason I’m considering the 48 inch.
My setup is more of a desk setup than a living room setup, and I currently use a Sony X85K 43”. During the day my room can also get pretty bright, so brightness and HDR performance matter to me.
My biggest concern is whether the 48 inch would feel too overwhelming or fatiguing long-term at desk distance. At the same time, I genuinely don’t know if the 48 inch is actually worth the extra $400 over the 42 inch.
For people who have experience :
- Is the Tandem OLED and Brightness Booster difference actually noticeable in real-world use?
- Which one would you personally choose in my situation?
