There's something about the way Clarke uses synths that I absolutely adore, especially on those 90s records. Often when I listen to recommended artists they don't give me that same feeling, the similarities are often artificial and don't truly capture the melodic and textural qualities of Erasure.

However I've recently been digging into Susumu Hirasawa's back catalogue (you might know his most famous song from the 2006 anime Paprika). The guy is absolutely amazing btw. Anyway this opening track in particular, from Blue Limbo and the Paranoia Agent OST, is pure Clarke to my ears.
