Should I quit? I’m in a family where a lot of us make music (including my partner) they tend to support each-other / work together. My boyfriend outside of that, he has a collective of a lot of men he regularly does work with. They don’t want to work with me or support it so feeling pretty lonely and unrecognized to the people close to me. Internet strangers have definitely been more supportive. To be real I love what I do but they always have something negative to say. This is therapeutic to me more than anything so it’s not like the views necessarily matter too much. I was so proud of this most recent song and none of them have listened, when I’m the first one to hop on theirs and show love. It’s not out of obligation but genuine love and respect for what they do. It’s not to get their love back but at what point should I be embarrassed for supporting people who put me on the back burner…
