My son just got done with his fire academy and several departments are hiring. However, when we look at the dates for the testing and interviews (all done on 2 dates) we see they conflict with his 2 week reserve deployment to another state and the reserves can not change his dates. I know employers must accommodate for reserve duty when they are employed but are they required to accommodate for testing and interviews to apply for the job? Thanks for all your help.
