im new to reddit so bear with me here.

i work on the marketing team at a software company. we build workflow automation tools for small businesses, mostly stuff that helps teams replace manual spreadsheets and zapier setups with something cleaner. been around for about 4 years, team of around 30, paying customers in the low-ish thousands.

right now our marketing is mostly google and meta ads, cold email funnels, and linkedin content from our founder. it works but its getting expensive and the cac keeps creeping up every quarter.

last week i was going thru our signup and conversion data and noticed a chunk of users were actually coming in from reddit threads we didnt even know existed. people in small business and a few automation subs were already recommending us in random comments.

so i pitched to my team that we should actually start marketing on reddit properly. find people asking for products like ours, get clients from there, build a real presence in our niche instead of pouring more money into paid stuff.

problem is i have no clue where to start. ive been googling for hours and theres like 10 different tools all claiming to be the best reddit marketing tool and most of them look vibe coded. i try the free trial and they produce horrible results. every review page reads the same and i cant tell whats actually legit. most of the testimonials feel fake too.

what are you guys actually using? mainly need something that helps with finding leads and posting content without us getting flagged as spam or banned across subs.

also talked to a few people investing into reddit and they said reddit posts that rank on certain keywords get indexed by ai platforms like chatgpt and claude and get recommended through there for more customers. so ideally a platform that can make content like that too without being spammy.

honest answers only. not looking for anyone to pitch me their own thing. i want actual users to pitch a good product they have used.
