Kaleidoscope Use Question
In nasuverse canon & fanfic the Kaleidoscope is frequently depicted as requiring the use of calculations to utilize some of its functions. Hypothetically what exactly would the calculations be calculating? what would the calculations have to take into account? ideally this would be taken to the logical extremes.
Some of the obvious calculations would to calculate 4 dimensional coordinates (3D Space & Time). I imagine each function would use a different "zero-point"; point to point teleportation across a single planet would use the core of the planet for instance while cross-galaxy would use the centerpoint of the galaxy, and cross-universe would use the either the hypothetical location of the big bang or something like that.
clearly the calculations would have to take into account various factors like planetary rotation, orbital calculations, gravity, stellar drift, galactic movements, and the like.
I'm no mathematician or physicist so I know that im probably missing a bunch of things. Also, if possible, can you leave or post a link to an example of what the relevant calculations would look like?
