Vacation dilemma

Wanted to poke the hive mind on this. I know the answer, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I'm sitting for a cat long term at the owners home while they're on the other side of the world, and they had a set return date. I told the owner a month ago that I'll be gone for a few days coming up soon, and also gave the owners some cushion days in the event of an emergency. Well, emergency has happened, and they won't be back for another month. I don't want to take the cat with me as I'll be in a hotel for work. They're asking what I can do, and if I know anyone to fill in the gaps (big nope).

My solution to help is: offer to act in their stead for a meet and greet for any sitters that they want to hire in the mean time, and they can have the final pick.

If they like the sitter more, and chose to continue with them - go them! But I'm concerned that they may make a poor pick, and I'll be rushing my trip to help them (I'm a softy).

Thoughts, opinions?

Yup, that's the title. A client wanted to board his 4 cats and I'm no stranger to having a crowded bedroom (cats usually prefer privacy), so I agreed. And it turns out that all four of these cats can't stand one another. Never once did the client mention this during phone calls, texts, or drop offs. I'll admit, I didn't ask either, because who would have thought? Now I'll be adding a new line to my policies from this experience.
