Seeking career advice : LUMS SDSB versus FAST NUST CS/ Electrical

Hey guys, I am looking for some objective career advice as I am currently facing a major dilemma and receiving conflicting opinions.

I recently secured admission into the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS with the intention of pursuing Accounting and Finance (ACF). While my parents are genuinely happy with this achievement, other extended family members who work in the tech sector, along with a few others, are strongly advising me against it. They are encouraging me to pursue Computer Science or Electrical Engineering at FAST or NUST due to the current market demand in technology.

Based on my prior exposure to programming, I have realized that I fundamentally dislike the prospect of a career spent sitting at a desk monitoring code. My professional aspiration is to find a dynamic path that allows me to explore the world rather than remaining confined to a workstation.

The primary challenge is that I have no prior background in finance or accounting, and because no one in my family possesses an ACF background, I lack guidance on what this field actually entails. I am genuinely confused as to whether I should take a leap of faith on a prestigious business school like SDSB or force myself into a tech degree simply because it is viewed as a conventional and secure choice by others.

I would greatly appreciate any insights from individuals who chose business over STEM fields, particularly regarding the nature of the day to day work and the potential for global mobility.
