Unfortunately I was a dumbass and I got caught driving without insurance no insurance and at the time I was pulled over I bought insurance after I was cited he was lenient and actually waived the fee for the expired plates but I still have to pay the $186 for no insurance I can’t prove I had insurance and this is my first time ever being pulled over just so happens I let my insurance relapse a few months before and forgot about it. Any advice on getting out of it? I live in Maine and I don’t want to have to have an SR-22 filed onto my insurance policy if I don’t have to or is this just a face the music kind of deal?
