Robotic myomectomy recovery progress

Hello all,

In February 2025, I had robotic surgery to remove a 6 cm orange-sized fibroid. The first photo was taken on the second day after surgery, and the last one was from yesterday.

During the first week, most of my pain was actually caused by the gas used during surgery, which put pressure on my diaphragm and nerves and caused intense shoulder pain. For the first couple of weeks, I couldn’t carry anything heavier than a 500 ml bottle without pain in my abdominal area.

I also wasn’t physically active for the 2 years before surgery, and I believe that affected my recovery process as well. I was 35 at the time of the surgery, and because of major life changes, I only started running again about a year later. Eventually, I finally started feeling like myself again.

Hope this helps answer some of the questions you might have if you’re considering robotic surgery.
