My daughter has gotten really into frogs and tadpoles recently, and we’ve been trying to find a good spot around Edison/Metuchen with no luck so far. We checked a couple random ponds/parks but either nothing there or probably wrong timing.

Anyone know any good spots within maybe 20–30 mins where kids usually have luck finding tadpoles this time of year? Totally fine with a short hike/walk too. We’d just catch a few to look at and release, mainly trying to make her day lol.

Would appreciate any local hidden gems or tips on best times to go too.

Looking for kid-friendly spots near Edison/Metuchen to find tadpoles. Willing to drive ~30 mins for a good location.
