chihiros future sword skills / forging enchanted blades
anyone have cool theories about what chihiros future will look like in terms of sword skill and swordsmithing?
for example, i don’t see how he could ever rival or surpass akemuras talent with the blade even if he improved exponentially which makes me think it’ll be another 5v1 like after the war but chihiro and his allies actually win from teamwork/eb hacks not from chihiro being a sword god. he will probably surpass samura but be slightly inferior to akemura even end of series? which allies? probably iori with tobimune, natsuki with new cloud gouger? kiri with subaru or female wielders blade or something new from chihiro to fit her sword style? i dont see uruha getting an enchanted blade again. this all really fits themes of next generation stepping up, facing the future, etc
kunishiges answer was a katana that specialized in countering the magatsumi AND has the power to break enchanted blades. if this isn’t the correct answer, where could chihiro even go from here. it won’t be “a more specialized counter” or “stronger enten”, it has to be seriously different and evolved.
also considering all the similarities between the magatsumi and mikaboshi powers, do we think the magatsumi was forged by reusing mikaboshi datenseki (maybe filled with hate and emotion from their praying or they did something to semi stabilize it before giving to warriors). we know it was the first blade forged, so it would need to be forged from datenseki recovered from early conflicts rather than the datenseki kunishige/subaru already have. also probably not from the warrior mashiro killed because shiba ain’t grabbing that on his way home.
