Hi all! Me and my partner are looking into taking a trip to California this summer (mid July). We are from the east coast. We are in our early twenties. I am more into a coastal beach vibe with some light hiking and he is more into a Northern California hiking vibe. We are looking at coming for about a week. Can you do both north and south in a week’s time? Or should we just take two trips one for south and one for north in a year or so?

I am also looking for recs for places to stay in southern Cali around San Diego!! TIA!
