New preprint applying icosahedral geometry to small vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) blade design.
The blade arrangement is derived from a ten-face non-edge-sharing wing set on the regular icosahedron, where each blade is a golden gnomon (36°–36°–108°). The golden-ratio-based layout optimizes torque balance and structural efficiency.
Designed for urban rooftops, off-grid locations, and low wind-speed environments.
