I'm unable to decide between rtx 5060 ti 16gb and rx 9060 xt 16gb. Almost 100$ difference. I wanna do both gaming and game dev on UE5. I don't wanna see any issues during development or gaming. Honestly, idc about ray tracing tho.

However I wouldn't be upgrading for the next 5-10 years so gotta get something solid. My budget ain't that tight, but if I save a couple of bucks, I can put em on a better processor or RAM.

I’m a Software Engineering student planning to do my Final Year Project (FYP) in game development. I’ll be using Unreal engine, and I also want to do some gaming on it.

My budget is around 400k PKR, and I’m completely stuck between two options:

1. A Gaming Laptop: Great for bringing to university and working with my project team.

2. A Desktop PC: Better performance for the price and won't overheat during long rendering sessions.

For anyone who did a game dev project in university or in general, which one did you find more useful? A laptop worth the sacrifice in power, or should I just build a solid PC?

Would love to hear your recommendations and what specific models or parts I should look for in this budget. Thanks!
