LG G5 165hz mode - eARC does not support 5.1 audio
When you are activating the 165hz mode on the G5 you are not able to use more than stereo on a soundbar connected to the G5. Tested with Windows 10/11. All audio configs but stereo vanish from windows sound settings.
Disabling the 165hz mode in the game optimizer menu and switching back to 120hz brings back all settings up to 7.1 Dolby Atmos support as usual.
Can anyone confirm? I can't find anything about these obvious hdmi2.1 bandwidth issues online. There should be enough bandwidth for up to 4k@240hz with DSC. What about 7.1 pcm bitstream only up to 120hz?
