If so, how is it?
I’m applying early entry soon, but am stuck between NYU and Carleton. How is the philosophy major at Carleton? I’m probably going to go into doctoral research after my undergrad, and is Carleton a good springboard into that?
These little dark splotches appeared as I heat treated this limb of a board bow. Any idea what caused them, and if they’re harmful? I’m still only halfway through the tiller, so they’ll probably be scraped off by the time I’m finished, but I want to try to avoid them in the future if they’re harmful (and they’re also ugly.)
I’m considering applying to Carleton Early entry in the fall. I want to know, what does free time look like? That is, how much do you generally have? It’s rather important to me that I’m still able to see my friends who live a few hours away at least every once in a while, so how often do you leave Northfield, and how often is it just to go to the cities?

I’m looking to learn how to imitate a New Orleans accent for an acting thing I’m doing, specifically the Yat dialect. From what I’ve read, it’s rarely displayed authentically in movies and TV. Despite this, are there any movies (or TV shows) which you think depict Yat at least somewhat accurately?
