buiding a daredevil billy club rated for heavy bag training and sparring
hey, so after watching DD born again season two, I decided I wanted to make the Billy club, and having already built replica lightsabers using vhc parts from lgt brand lightsaber resellers, I figured I'd try to make one out of saber parts. figured since they're made of 6061 aluminum, they'd be a good choice. probably going to secure the threads of parts that act as striking surfaces with metal reinforced JB-weld, red Loctite for the threads on the hollow pommels to make them a sacrificial part and on the threads of parts i may need to remove to repair the Billy club should something break. I'm using 2 quick release couplers and a male male connector to switch between baton mode and nunchaku mode. if anyone has any warnings, tips, ideas, or anything along those lines, please let me know. as of may 20th, only things on their way to me are the base level parts to make the shot staff and baton modes function. eventually i may use 3 mm kevlar cable and steel bolt/screw to secure the cable, but there's no point in getting that stuff ready if I'm not certain the other parts will work yet.
