Campaign Idea: A "Children of Men" style story involving a Warforged Miracle
Hi everyone! I’m currently planning an Eberron campaign and I want to dive into some "adult" noir themes.
The core hook is this: the party discovers a Warforged who is "pregnant" with (or acts as an incubator for) a prototype baby Warforged. This is obviously a world-shattering event since Warforged are supposed to be sterile and created only in Creation Forges.I’m aiming for a Children of Men vibe: this newborn is a miracle, a monstrosity, and the most dangerous secret in Khorvaire.
My current idea for the main villains are: House Cannith (the want the baby for Research and profit) or the Lord of the Blades (using the baby as a miracle for the warforged cause).
My main questions are about the allies, who would support this event and the palyers? How would the world react?
I'd love honest advice and reactin, is a cool hook for an adventure or is it absolute bullshit that breaks the setting too much? Any feedback or lore suggestion is really appreciated!
