Hey everyone! I hope you are all well. I am here to update you all about the Stratus browser, which you may or way not remember (here if you forgot). A lot has changed, so I will breakdown what's changed for you!

Stratus is now being built with Swift, the native language for Apple Devices, it is inspired by Arc Browser, which has a really nice design. (I can't attach an image of the browser here but stay tuned, there will be one in the next post) Stratus is still crafted for ultimate speed and privacy, so nothing has changed there. You can choose from plenty of providers including DuckDuckGo, Google, Bing and more! This browser will be customisable to truly make it yours. Loads more stuff will be in Stratus I cannot wait to share!

Stratus will most likely be ready for Beta testing within the next few months, so stay tuned for that!

I understand this post is somewhat bland, but I am still finalising things with the design, and things are subject to change. I hope this excites you all and I can't wait to share more!

In v1 of Ryacast, I absolutely loved the emoji picker, it was smooth, fast, responsive, and always got the right emoji. But in v2, I am not having the same experience.

For example, when I opened the emoji picker in v1 I almost instantly started typing and it would capture everything I typed, but in v2 it takes a little too long to open and therefore doesn't capture everything I type. To explain further, in v2 I open the emoji picker with the keyboard shortcut (Cmd + option + space) and I start typing as soon as I have hit that shortcut, but since it takes longer to open than it did in v1 sometimes it does not capture the first character I type as it always did in v1.

Example: I I want a crying emoji so i hit the shortcut (Cmd + option + space) and start typing 'cry' but it doesn't pick up on the c i typed so whilst I still get the crying emoji it ends up looking like this in the text box: c😭

While this isn't the most annoying thing in the world and I can work with it, it just frustrates me sometimes as I am used to it working as intended. I hope the Raycast team sees this and (hopefully) does something about it!
