Been unemployed for 6 months, and can't find anything. Anyone have any leads?

I have a geology degree, which usually means field work, but I have a health problem that won't allow me to walk or stand for prolonged periods.

I am highly intelligent and can learn most technical skills very fast.

My unemployment history looks unsteady.

I lost my last job after less than a year because I came out as Trans, which management didn't like. And unknowingly, that employer had a bad reputation with their high turnover. I was very good at that job, and it required skills in CAD, GIS, and knowledge of utilities.

Before that I was a QC for a 100% travel construction job, which I left after a year due to it being 100% travel and it was my first "career" type job, so I didn't know what I wanted in an employer or environment yet. Again, I was good at QC, and my crew was selected to go to a job at the Pentagon, so I can get security clearance too.

I'm just at my wits end. I enjoy waking up and having something to work on, and something to look forward to. I have tried increasing my skill in CAD to get a machinist job, but most require standing most or all of the day.
