Is my tree healthy?
I bought a house a year ago and started renovating the garden. However, I’m worried about the health of the Japanese cherry tree in the back. There’s a hole in the trunk that was overgrown with weeds and is currently full of woodlice, and the previous owner even left a screw drilled into it. I want to build a deck around the tree, but I'm afraid it won't survive the next storm and will crash into my new deck. Location: the Netherlands 20 km from the coast.
