Should I quit my job? (24 F/ 2YS EXP)
I am currently working in a role (research) I don't like, in an industry I don't want to be in. The pay is low, but haven't left my job because it still provides some cash every month (CTC 10LPA).
I need to either make a role switch to founder's office/generalist role OR industry switch to retail/health/wellness. Preferably both. However since I am not an IITian(not even an engineer) its tough to gain credibility in this market. I went to a good Uni, excellent in academic circles but not in corporate ones. I also feel a 2 month long notice period works against me in this market where firms need immediate hires.
Or I need to do my MBA and make the switch (ABC IIM/ISB).
However, I feel time is running out. I can't do all 3 (current job, job hunt, and CAT/GMAT prep) all together.
At this point all my job is giving me is pay and adding months of experience to my resume.
I want to quit really bad, but know if none of the two (MBA/job switch) work out, I am going to be in deep trouble.
And if I absolutely must keep the job, I will need to give up one of the other two, not sure which one to give up. Would love some perspectives from people trying to switch to similar roles OR who are doing their MBA OR who have done their MBA from one of these places.
