The Mandalorian & Grogu
I just wanted to share the popcorn bucket that Cinepolis (a mexican movie theater chain) is selling for the promotion of the film. Black series figures for scale.
This is the way.

Just receive the rerelease of the sh figuarts Obi Wan, but decided to change the head with the 50th anniversary kenner inspired black series.
I think it looks much better and it will work until hasbro release a new version of the character (hopefully next year).
On the same trip to the States I decided to visit several Ross store's and got lucky. SM is from Walmart. I know these aren't the most sought after figures but it's nice that you guys have options.
I went to the states and found the new action verse Grogu at Walmart. I haven't seen it here in Mexico so I grab it. The Grogu itself is tall (the tallest Grogu that I have so far) but it looks cool.
But what surprise me from the set actually was the stroller. The sculp is pretty good so I decided to apply some paint and details. I believe it turn out pretty good.
So for now, these are my representation of Din and Grogu from the movie on my shelf.
It's finally done. As I mentioned before, the head is a custom, the overlay (robes and skirt) are from the mafex and the open hand is from a marvel legends. But all the inner working and limbs are from black series figures.
I added some comparisons with other Luke's of the line and I think that it's scales so much better. In those pictures the belt piece was a little loose but I fix it later (as seen in the last picture).
Now just to wait for the official release hahaha
Ok, so now I got the mafex Luke and it's a really nice figure, but in my opinion he is way too big to fit in my collection. Actually that's my opinion in the whole mafex star wars lineup, but anyways that wasn't going to stop me.
I start to disassemble the figure and discover that I could hollow out the plastic robe, so I got an idea: what if I put an actual black series Luke Skywalker inside of it. I had to dremmel the torso a lot in order for it to fit.
So at the end I spend 80 dollars for a plastic robe and skirt piece hahaha. I'm waiting for the paint to dry and will upload the final results.
I wasn't able to finish it on star wars day, but here it is: my custom black series Luke Skywalker. I don't know why but I was really bothered by the fact that we didn't had a screen accurate Luke from the disney series, so like Thanos I decided to do it myself.
The recipe:
Custom head from AliExpress (will add link in the comments)
Upper torso and skirt piece: Padawan Obi Wan
Arms: Force Awakens Luke
Upper legs: Bobf Luke (the one that comes with Grogu)
Lower legs/boots/belt: Light cruiser Luke
It was pretty much plug and play. I disassemble the pieces using hot water and I painted them with vallejo black. I wanted to use old man Luke's arms because I feel that it has a more "puffy" look, but you could also use the bobf or light cruiser Luke arms without issue.
At the end I'm pretty happy but I know is not perfect. I will get the mafex in order to do a comparison and to see what I can improve.
