Artists with allegations
I'm not sure where to talk about this. I guess it's here because finding Ren is how I found the YT reaction community.
I believe women. I just unsubscribed from Biscuit's channel and Patreon because of a video he posted today, and I cannot see Marilyn Manson's stupid face in my feed anymore. Last week I downvoted LoccdWolf for a Chris Brown reaction. I think there's a huge difference between purity testing/ dismissing someone's music because of an opinion they've expressed, and refusing to promote people who have done great harm and abuse to others, taken no accountability and suffered no consequence. The second one is kinda big for me. I feel like these men promoting these musicians is like a slap in the face to women who have survived domestic and sexual violence. Are we coming with some Diddy and R Kelly reactions next, or do the allegations need to get to that insane level just to be taken out of the running? The one today was especially egregious to me because Biscuit analyzes lyrics, and MM didn't even write or originally perform that song, it was a woman! It mostly makes me sad. Anyone else having feels about this? 😅
