Uptime What features would you like to see in the next update?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on Uptime, a lightweight Windows desktop app designed to monitor system uptime, boot duration, and overall PC status.

I'm planning the next version and would like to hear directly from the community.

What features would you absolutely want to see in Uptime?

Here are a few areas I'm considering:

  • Uptime history: detailed records of system uptime, restarts, and shutdowns.
  • Advanced system monitoring: additional information about Windows health and system stability.
  • Customizable dashboard: choose which statistics and system information to display.
  • Notifications and alerts: get notified about unexpected restarts or other system events.
  • Exportable reports: save uptime records and system statistics for later analysis.
  • More customization: additional themes, interface options, and quality-of-life improvements.

These are just ideas, not a fixed roadmap. I'd rather prioritize features that people would genuinely find useful than add unnecessary complexity.

If you could choose just one feature for the next release, what would it be? And is there anything missing from existing Windows utilities that you would like Uptime to do better?

I'm especially interested in suggestions that keep the app lightweight, reliable, and easy to use.

Thanks for your feedback!

Uptime Official Trailer (WinUI 3 uptime tracker for Windows 11)

Hi r/windowsapps,

Following up on my post from yesterday, the official trailer for Uptime is now live.

For those who missed the original post: Uptime is a standalone WinUI 3 utility built to solve the "Fast Startup" hybrid shutdown problem on Windows 11. It provides clean kernel reboots, accurate uptime telemetry, and a lightweight interface, running on the Windows App SDK with C# .NET 8, 0 KB of network usage, and will be distributed as an MSIX package.

What the trailer shows:

  • The Overview tab: current uptime, last system boot time and boot duration, an active/idle usage breakdown, and the PC Health Advisor status
  • The Records tab: your longest stability record and a set of unlocked uptime milestones (24h, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d, 60d, 100d)
  • The Actions tab: one-click Reboot to BIOS/UEFI, a Clean Reboot option that bypasses hibernation, and a Shutdown Timer (30 min / 1h / 2h)
  • A walkthrough of the website, including the architecture page with the full technical breakdown (Windows App SDK / WinUI 3, C# .NET 8, MSIX signed packaging)

I want to be upfront that the screen capture of the app itself in the trailer is lower quality than I'd like it was recorded quickly and doesn't fully represent how smooth the app actually runs I apologize for that.

Website & Download: Uptime
(Standalone installer available now; Microsoft Store listing coming soon)

I'd appreciate any feedback on the trailer, the UI, or features you'd like to see added.

WE ARE UPTIME.
