Former Shared Health CEO worked one month in 2025 before firing, got nearly $1M in compensation

From Wpg Free Press, so paywall! but it reads in part: "The former CEO of Shared Health received nearly $1 million in salary and other pay last year, despite working for only one month before being fired following a provincial health-care system audit.

Lanette Siragusa was paid $988,520 in 2025 and was at the top of the health authority’s latest compensation disclosure.

Siragusa and Winnipeg Regional Health Authority leader Mike Nader were removed from their roles in February 2025 following the release of a financial audit that showed apart from Southern Health, the province’s other health regions regularly overspent their budgets."

Mayoral candidate denies harassment, assault allegations

https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2026/05/12/mayoral-candidate-denies-harassment-assault-allegations

The article reads in part:

"A mayoral candidate who has been accused of sexual harassment and assault in online posts made by a former employee not only denied the claims, but also threatened legal action Tuesday.

Mike Vogiatzakis, general manager and funeral director at Voyage Funeral Homes and Crematorium, was accused of sexual harassment and assault in several social media posts, beginning Sunday.

In the first post, the ex-employee claimed Vogiatzakis made sexual comments, slapped her and put his hands around her neck while she was employed at the Hespeler Avenue funeral home in 2024.

Vogiatzakis said the claims were false and described the woman as a “disgruntled employee,” who first made the accusations after she was fired because she was “unable to do the work (they) required her to do.”
