Getting lied to about the details of my car purchase
Location: Wyoming
I bought a used vehicle 3 weeks ago. At the time of the sale I was verbally promised that the drivers door would be replaced by the dealership as a condition of the sale. Since then, I had to wait 7 days to even drive it off the lot. And within 24 hours of getting it and driving it the check engine light came on. I was told when I called about it that the dealership offered a 2 month 2,000 mile powertrain warranty. I was promised that there would be no fee for diagnostics even if the repair would not have been covered. After they completed the diagnosis, I was told that I had to pay $200 for their time to look at it because the repair was not covered. The door replacement was quoted at $3,000, the repair for their check engine light was quoted at $2,000.
I would like to know if it is worth it to try and get these promises fulfilled or if it would be a waste of my time.
