2 month keloid update

hey guyys. a little over 2 months sure of eclar use. 1st photo is before eclar, second is one month, third is current.

it’s currently redder due to 1. lighting 2. irritation from rubbing. the scar does however, look smoother overall…? hoping for better and better results as time goes on

1 month eclar plaster update

helloooo, thought i’d give an update so far on the eclars. i’ve noticed definitely some smoothing and a reduction in itchiness. i wasn’t too sure if there was much change in size visually but looking at the before and after, there is a difference.

the first picture is before i started eclar plaster. measurements were 1.5 inches long and 0.8 inches wide. measurements now are 1.2 inches long and 0.6 inches wide! so… definitely reducing

i know eclar plaster is the kind of treatment that requires time. i’m expecting at least 2-3 years of wearing them to see super significant change, but i am happy with the progress its made in a little over a month

starting eclar plasters—advice?

hey! had this chest keloid for 9 years now, give or take, from a pimple. did surgery removal (no radiation cause doctors didn’t know it was a keloid) and came back twice the size. the scar is 1.5 inches long, 0.8 inches wide, and around 0.15-0.20 inches raised. it gets really itchy some days and inflamed.

i’ve had cryotherapy, steriod injections, intralesional chemo injections—all flattens it, but it comes back with a vengeance in a month. haven’t had any chemo injections since winter 2024. i did it with dr. tirgan and it was just too expensive. been covering it with a bandaid in the meantime.

on day 2 of eclar plaster, aiming for 24 hr application! i feel some shooting pain on my left side—is that normal? does anybody recommend i also do injection along with the plasters? i was trying not to because of the money, but i’m open to suggestions.

and has anyone seen success with their own keloids, similar-sized/similar area, using eclar? thanks! will keep yall posted
