Babies!

New baby isopods born on the moss carpet! Out of my now four isopod terrariums; this one has taken the longest to produce babies at nearly two months compared to my other wild isopods. These are some kind of straight dark Grey jumbo isopods I got from my friends front yard around a citrus tree. Who knew they could take so long to give birth?

How to treat the wood for isopod enclosures.

I have to redo two of three of my isopod enclosures due to a sudden unwelcome boom of termite babies from the natural wood I got outside on my property. I tried sun baking the wood for a few weeks to a month before putting any in the enclosures. Nothing was moving on any of the pieces when I put them in. When I checked last night I saw these little oval white specks slowly moving around that I thought were baby spiders at first or some parasites. Turns out it is termite babies. It sucks because I just got my spring tail population going in all of them and the wild isopods I put in just had their first baby boom. Any advice/options would be greatly appreciated.

Wild albino, orange or lusistic wild isopod?

Hey guys! I've been fixing up the garden for my mother in-law and found this cool looking wild armadillium isopod. Does anyone know what kind of color mutation this one is? I'm thinking about adding them to my personal wild colony. I put a normal one next to the blonde/orange one.
