Previously we could search for apps inside spotlight and install directly without opening App Store. I noticed on macOS 27 you can search for apps using spotlight, but there is no longer an install button. Anyone else able to search for and install apps using spotlight on macOS 27? An example would be searching for Microsoft Excel

I now think it is by design that Apple removed the writing tools from context menus and all their apps. It’s clunky having to type to Siri “summarize” when before there was a button for it. Plus the ui looks janky now compared to the clean ui writing tools had. Submit feedback to bring writing tools back!

While the new Siri ai is great, removing the system wide writing tools that allowed you to quickly summarize or rewrite was a bad decision. Also, it was much cleaner in safari on iOS26 to click the summary button and a small summary popped up, now it switches you to reader mode and displays the summary on the website.

Seems like every time Apple makes a good design change, they introduce a bad change to complement it smh

It works very well! Girlfriend asked what my drivers license was in a text and it popped up on my clipboard to paste to her. Ask when a friends birthday was and Siri tells me. It’s very convenient for everyday things and it’s also nice having access to spotlight on iOS when using other apps! No more having to swipe to Home Screen just to use spotlight
