Question to those who have attended ShoalsFest in past years or who are familiar with the area. My wife say a promo of people on a boat watching. She is on the spectrum and wants to see the show but be away from people if possible. We will still pay if needed, that’s not an issue. But can you drive a boat up the Tennessee river and watch the show?
Okay so I don’t know a ton about Medicare. However, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and just found out it is aggressive. She needs to start treatment asap. However, my parents were in the process of selling their house in Texas and purchasing a home in Mississippi to be closer to us (North Alabama) when she got her diagnosis. They can’t delay or cancel because it would leave their buyers homeless and they would be open to a lawsuit? Idk how that works.
Anyways all that being said she apparently has a Medicare advantage plan and it will only cover her treatments in Texas… so she will literally be essentially “homeless” while having to go through treatment but a friend is willing to let her stay with her during treatment.
We are trying to appeal and fight Medicare to let her get treatment out of state and have her move in with us. But she needs to start treatment ASAP and we all know insurance is anything but quickly
Would anyone have any advice about a situation like this? I don’t want my mom to delay treatment but if we could get her to us and have her living with us while going through this, I’d sleep a lot better at night.
